HARRISBURG — The state Attorney General Dave Sunday says a Northumberland County man has been convicted of sexually abusing an 11-year-old child. A jury convicted Michael Bishop of felony indecent assault, felony corruption of minors and misdemeanor indecent assault.
Sunday says the conviction holds Bishop accountable for violating a position of trust. Bishop is scheduled to be sentenced September 2. The Attorney General’s Office says the investigation began after the child’s mother found messages on the child’s phone and reported them to ChildLine.
