ALLENTOWN — The Pennsylvania Department of Aging has introduced a new online platform to improve transparency and safety in hiring in-home care workers. Officials say the system, called C-Screen, verifies and rates the hiring practices of agencies that contract with the state’s aging network.
PA Aging Secretary Jason Kavulich says the tool helps families make informed choices and protects older adults from neglect or fraud.
He says Pennsylvania’s 52 Area Agencies on Aging are now piloting C-Screen and may publicly share provider ratings to strengthen trust and accountability in home care across all 67 counties.
