WASHINGTON — Senator John Fetterman says he voted to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits but refused to support measures that lead to a federal government shutdown.
In a statement night, Fetterman called it “a sad day for our nation,” noting the government shut down at midnight. He said his vote was “for our country over my party” and urged lawmakers to find a better path forward.
