MOORESBURG — A church in our region will be holding a special church service to honor the nation’s birthday this weekend. Mooresburg Presbyterian Church, in the Danville region, will hold a special service . Organizer David Callahan says the service is set for 9:30am, along Church Road, in Mooresburg, near Route 642.
Callahan says three other churches and the Daughters of the American Revolution will also take part. Several participants plan to dress in colonial-style clothing for the service. He says the community is invited to attend and share in the anniversary observance. The service is being planned as part of local recognition of America’s upcoming 250th birthday.
