LEWISBURG — September is National Hunger Action Month, and the Annual Hunger Coalition 5K is set for Saturday, September 6, at the Miller Center for Recreation and Wellness in Lewisburg. State police say check-in for the 5K, with coffee and snacks, runs from 8:30 to 9:30am before the 9:30 start.
Kids can enjoy a scavenger hunt during their 9:30 to 10:30 check-in, with the race starting at 10:30. Organizers say proceeds from the event support hunger initiatives to feed local families. Registration is $30 early bird, $40 day-of, with kids run prices slightly lower.
