The Flyers got a win
yesterday! It's a miracle!!!
Anyway, there came word
yesterday from Sting that once this reunion tour with the Police is
done, so is the band. Not that there are any hard
feelings, just that they all agree that this has run its course and
it's once again time to go their separate ways. So that means
no new stuff from the Cops and no more tours after this.
You've still got a few more chances to catch 'em in our area, check
the concert ticket for more information.
DId you hear Van Halen
have cancelled two straight shows and now it seems like the problems
have finally begun? Well, there are rumors running
rampant about what's wrong, but some of it has to do with Eddie's
ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli releasing her autobiography and it
doens't paint a pretty picture of their marriage. The
shocking thing is that Valerie herself admits to cheating while they
were married, AND doing drugs! Say it ain't so!
She has been one of the most attractive and "girl next door" women
forever and now this? I'm so sad.

First and Foremost,
Happy Birthday to my Dad today...number 70!! Love
you and Kathy, Dad!
I hope everybody had a
good Valentine's Day yesterday. Shelby and I exchanged
some nice gifts and cards, and even Daisy got to celebrate with us
for the first time. Very nice day.
I'm still predicting
Dale Jr. will win the Daytona 500 on Sunday, and with two wins
already this week I don't think I'm going out on a limb here.
Of course, it's restrictor plate racing at Daytona so anybody could
win anytime. I'd love to see my favorite driver,
Michael Waltrip win one more time and he's starting on the front
row! If Juan Pablo Montoya wins, I win some money
so I've got a few people to root for on Sunday.
Coverage starts on TV at 2, so don't bother trying to call me after
that!
Spring Training is
underway...can summer be far behind? GO PHILS!
Check out the Concert
Ticket for new dates from the Police and Ringo Starr, they've just
been posted. We're heading into the busy season
for concerts, so check back often!

Being a Phillies fan, I
was pleased this morning to hear that they might be signing Pedro
Feliz to a free agent contract. He would be the
Phils' starting third baseman this year and next, and if he can
duplicate the .274, 24 homer, 74 RBI season from last year with the
Giants it would be a nice upgrade at the hot corner.
It's not set in stone yet, but sure looks that way.
You may have heard the
rumor that Led Zeppelin was confirmed in doing a fall world tour
later this year. Actually, our own Ali Stevens
reported it as fact. Actually, Jimmy Page was just
reporting that "if" they did get together it wouldn't be until
September at the earliest since Robert Palmer is committed to his
tour with Alison Kraus through then. Page did say
that they did enough rehearsing for their reunion concert that they
would be able to do a world tour if they all felt like it.
He says they'd like today's generation to understand what Zeppelin
is all about. Keep your fingers crossed!
Neil Young may finally
be releasing his Archives series later this year, maybe as early as
late this month. It won't be on CD, however.
The only formats they're planning on using right now are DVD and Blu
Ray.
And here's something
interesting...the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has retired. You
may recall he is the guru who taught the Beatles transcendental
meditation back in the late 60's. He's now 91!
Oh, and Mike Love of the Beach Boys is still an ardent follower.
Go figure!

Okay, I was half right
last weekend for the conference championship games with the Giants
beating the Packers and the Patriots win over the Chargers.
I still honestly think the Pats are going to go undefeated, but I
wouldn't mind seeing the Giants beat 'em. Wouldn't
that be a kick in the head? Win every game all
season long, but lose the big one? By the
way, does anybody really believe Tom Brady has a high ankle sprain?
Less than a month until Daytona!!
The Concert Ticket continues to grow every day as we get closer to
spring and summer. Before you log off, make
sure you check it out to see new dates from Tom Petty and Pat
Benatar, among others.
Thanks again for
listening for the past ten years, as we celebrate our tenth
anniversary all through 2008!

Hello everybody,
Okay, I was one for two
in the NFL Conference Championship games yesterday. I
picked the Patriots to win big over the Chargers and they came away
with a lucky 21-12 win and will head to the Super Bowl to try to
complete that undefeated season with a championship.
I picked the Packers to win at a frigid Lambeau Field over the
Giants and that didn't happen as the Giants prevailed in overtime
23-20. So now I'm 7-10 in picking the NFL
playoffs. Not too bad, but I was really hoping to get 'em
all right!
My Super Bowl
prediction: Patriots 41, Giants 23.
Personally, I don't care
who wins the game since these are the two teams I hate the most in
the NFL. If you're a fan of either team, sorry.
I'll just be looking forward the the commercials!
