Sara grew up about forty minutes from Baltimore, Maryland in a now bustling town called Bel Air. She attended Shippensburg University and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Communication/Journalism and Speech Communication.

During her junior and senior years, Sara served as news director at the campus radio station, 88.7 WSYC, and co-hosted a weekly radio show called "Music Therapy." As a member of the National Broadcasting Society, she has won two grand prize national awards, one for her contribution to a radio dramatic narrative in 2005 and one for her creation and production of a radio commercial in 2006.

Before coming to Sunbury, Sara had worked as a DJ at 94.3 WQCM in Chambersburg and as a Promotions Assistant at Mix 106.5 and ESPN 1300 in Baltimore. She is very excited to work as a reporter/anchor at WKOK and is eager to learn all about Central Susquehanna Valley.

Some of Sara's interests include: going to concerts, playing basketball and tennis, the internet, cooking, the beach, reading, sports and traveling. She loves meeting new people, so feel free to contact her anytime.
